Öz
2018 yılında Ateş ve Özden Yıldırım tarafından geliştirilen Büyüme Korkusu Ölçeği’nin dört alt boyutundan biri olan sorumluluğu içselleştirmede zorlanma ve bağımsız yaşama hazırlık boyutunun Cronbach Alpha değerinin yeterli düzeyde olmaması ve ölçeğin bazı maddelerinin anlam ve içerik bakımından karmaşık bilgiler sunması sebepleri ile ölçeğin tüm maddelerinin ve alt boyutlarının yeniden gözden geçirilerek farklı bir örneklemde geçerlik ve güvenirliliklerinin test edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu doğrultuda alanyazına “Büyüme Korkusu II Ölçeği” adında daha güvenilir ve geçerli bir ölçme aracı sunmak hedeflenmiştir. Örneklem grubu toplam 341 yetişkinden oluşmaktadır. Açımlayıcı faktör analizi (AFA) sonucunda maddelerin faktör yükleri 0,57 ile 0,97 arasında bulunmuştur. Ölçeğin dört faktörlü, 26 maddeli yapısı doğrulanmıştır. İkinci düzey AFA bulgularına göre alt faktörlerin faktör yükleri ise 0,47 ile 0,79 arasında bulunmuş ve bu doğrultuda, Büyüme Korkusu Ölçeği II’nin dört alt faktörden oluşan tek faktörlü bir yapı olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Doğrulayıcı faktör analizi sonrasında Büyüme Korkusu Ölçeği Revizyon halinin uyum iyiliği değerleri kabul edilen sınırlar arsında bulunmuştur. Maddelerin faktör yükleri 0,50 ile 0,95 arasında olduğu gözlenmiştir. İkinci düzey DFA bulgularına göre alt boyutların faktör yükleri 0,49 ile 0,70 arasında olduğu bulunmuştur. Ölçeğin genel iç tutarlılık değerlerinin 0,86 ile 0,93 arasında değiştiği görülmüştür. Ölçeğin toplam güvenirlik katsayısı 0,93’tür. Tüm bu bulgular ilgili literatür ışığında tartışılmıştır.

Öz
Depending on the fact that the Cronbach Alpha of the dimension of difficulty in internalizing responsibility and preparation for independent living, which is one of the four sub-dimensions of the Growth Fear Scale developed by Ates and Ozden Yildirim in 2018, was not sufficient at the expected level and some items of the scale presented complex information in terms of meaning and content, it was aimed to revise all items and sub-dimensions of the scale and test their validity and reliability in a different sample. In this study it was intended to present a more reliable and valid measurement tool called “Fear of Growth Scale II” to the literature. The sample group consisted of 341 adults. As a result of the study the exploratory factor analysis (EFA), the factor loadings of the items were found between .57 and .97. The exploratory factor analysis (EFA), the four-factor, 26-item structure of the scale was confirmed. According to the findings of the second level EFA, the factor loadings of the sub-factors were found between .47 and .79, and in this direction, it was determined that the Fear of Growth Scale II was a single-factor structure consisting of four sub-factors. After confirmatory factor analysis, the goodness of fit values of the revised version of the Fear of Growth Scale were found to be within the accepted limits. The factor loadings of the items were between .50 and .95. According to the second level CFA findings, the factor loadings of the sub-dimensions were found to be between .49 and .70. The overall internal consistency values of the scale ranged between .86 and .93. The total reliability coefficient of the scale was .93. All these findings were discussed in the light of the relevant literature.
