Determination of Nursing Students' Attitudes Towards Nurses and Clinical Practice and Affecting Factors

Öz

Abstract

Nursing students' attitudes toward the nursing profession and clinical practice environments are critical determinants of their academic engagement, clinical performance, and future career trajectories (Fernandes et al., 2022). A multifaceted understanding of these attitudes, encompassing their influencing factors, is essential for nursing education programs to cultivate positive perceptions and facilitate optimal learning experiences.

Aim: This study aims to evaluate nursing students' perceptions of nurses and clinical practice and associated variables.

Method: The study was a descriptive cross-sectional study conducted to determine the attitudes of nursing students towards nurses and clinical practice and the factors affecting them

Results: The study found that nursing students generally have positive attitudes towards nurses and clinical practice.

Conclusion: Students should be psychologically prepared in their schools before exposure to the clinical environment. There should be an effort to build students' self-esteem and professional self-concept by the relevant authorities.

Öz

Özet

Hemşirelik öğrencilerinin hemşirelik mesleğine ve klinik uygulama ortamlarına yönelik tutumları, akademik bağlılıklarının, klinik performanslarının ve gelecekteki kariyer yörüngelerinin kritik belirleyicileridir (Fernandes ve ark., 2022). Bu tutumların, onları etkileyen faktörleri de kapsayacak şekilde çok yönlü olarak anlaşılması, hemşirelik eğitimi programlarının olumlu algılar geliştirmesi ve optimal öğrenme deneyimlerini kolaylaştırması için elzemdir.

Amaç: Bu çalışma, hemşirelik öğrencilerinin hemşirelere ve klinik uygulamalara yönelik algılarını ve ilişkili değişkenleri değerlendirmeyi amaçlamaktadır.

Yöntem Çalışma, hemşirelik öğrencilerinin hemşirelere ve klinik uygulamalara yönelik tutumlarını ve bunları etkileyen faktörleri belirlemek amacıyla yapılan tanımlayıcı kesitsel bir çalışmadır.

Sonuçlar: Çalışma, hemşirelik öğrencilerinin hemşirelere ve klinik uygulamalara yönelik genel olarak olumlu tutumlara sahip olduğunu ortaya koymuştur.
