Most cases presenting with foreign body ingestion are asymptomatic or have transient symptoms after ingestion. 10-20 % of ingested foreign bodies require endoscopic surgery, less than 1% require surgical intervention . We will discuss in this rare case the patient who admitted to clinic with acute appendicitis with delayed complications, and a foreign body was detected in the radiological examination, intraoperatively it was found that he ingested a button battery and a magnet. Physicians working in pediatric emergency department should have a high awareness. It is important to keep in mind the foreign body ingestion in the differential diagnosis, especially in patients presenting with acute abdomen.
