In this study multifunctional bio-based cotton composites were fabricated. The characterization of fabricated cotton composites were investigated by using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Thermo Gravimetric Analysis (TGA) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). And also antibacterial test and dye adsorption properties were investigated. The effects of contact time, pH, temperature, and ionic strength on removal of remazol blue (RB) were studied. The antibacterial activity was studied against the S. Aureus and K. Pneumonia. Consequently dyeability of cotton was increased with treatments. These treatments can be used in textile industry for free salt dyeing which is a desirable property for cotton. And also treated cottons exhibited antibacterial activity. As a result it can be said that applications increased dyeability of cotton and were gained antibacterial properties to the cotton.
