Yazım Kuralları

Academic impartiality and scientific quality are important criteria in the evaluation of articles submitted for publication. Therefore, the recommendations of the International Standards for Editors and Authors of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) should be taken into account in scientific articles submitted to the UJMA journal.

Important: Authors are responsible for all content generated by AI tools. Please, review the AI Policy.

Note: In order to increase the visibility of the articles, after the article is accepted, layout processes are made and published online as soon as possible.

General Information

  • UJMA is a journal published four times a year in March, June, September, and December.
  • The language of the articles is English.
  • The percentage of similarity in articles should be less than 30% without a bibliography.
  • Article applications are not accepted via e-mail.
  • The referee process is not initiated for articles that do not comply with the writing rules of the journal, without footnotes, bibliography, preface, or abstract. The Editorial Board may make a decision for special cases.
  • The submitted article is the original work of the author(s) and should not be plagiarized.
  • All authors must participate in this study individually and take full responsibility for the work.
  • All authors must see and approve the final version of the submitted article.
  • The article must not have been published elsewhere or should not be submitted for publication.
  • Manuscripts to be published must be sent via the “Submit Article” page.

Note: If any editor sends an article to the UJMA, the editor's access to the editorial panel is prevented. The editor follows all processes as a writer. After the process is completed, the editorial authority is given to him again.

Required files to be uploaded when submitting an article:

1- PDF document of the article prepared by considering the spelling rules (Author(s) information, name, surname, Orcid(s), responsible author, e-mail(s) must be found.)
2-PDF document of the article prepared considering the spelling rules (There should be no information belonging to the authors. This file will be sent to the referees in accordance with the double-blind refereeing policy.)
3-A similarity report must be uploaded to the system.

Non-essential files that must be uploaded when submitting an article:
1- If necessary for the study, the approved version of the Ethics Committee Permit must be uploaded to the system. In addition, this approval (name, date, and number of the committee) must be stated in the "Article Information Form" at the end of the study.

Permissions

Authors who wish to include figures, tables or text fragments that have been previously published elsewhere should definitely cite the relevant place in the article. If not cited, they must obtain permission from the copyright holder(s) for the relevant portion and include proof of such permission when submitting their manuscript. Without such proof, any material cited will be assumed to belong to the authors.

Title Page

The title page must include:

  • The name(s) and surname(s) of the author(s)

Keywords
Please provide at least one keyword which can be used for indexing purposes.

Text Formatting

Manuscripts must be sent as Pdf when uploaded to the system for the first time. However, if the article is accepted, it should upload the Latex file written in Journal format and figure files, if any, to the system. Please use the UJMA Template file. (See PDF)

Headings

Please use the decimal system of headings with no more than three levels.

Abbreviations
Abbreviations should be defined at first mention and used consistently thereafter.

Article Information
Fill in the Article information section in the latex file completely.

Reference List
The list of references should only include works that are cited in the text and that have been published or accepted for publication. Personal communications and unpublished works should only be mentioned in the text. Do not use footnotes or endnotes as a substitute for a reference list.
