1) All articles published in the GISTU Journal of Islamic Studies are digitally archived through the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system. This system, developed under the leadership of Stanford University Libraries, is an open-source and low-cost digital preservation solution. The LOCKSS Program is built on the principle of “ensuring the safety of multiple copies” and provides libraries and publishers with permanent and reliable access to digital content.
2) Our journal allows authors to archive all versions of their articles — including the submitted version, the peer-reviewed accepted version, and the final published version — without any embargo period, in institutional repositories (such as DSpace, AVESİS), subject-based archives, or other digital platforms of their choice.
3) Published articles may also be shared by the author on personal websites, academic social networks (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu), or in public and/or commercial subject-based repositories. In such cases, a proper citation of the published version must be provided, along with a link to the article’s DOI or the journal’s homepage.
4) Authors are also allowed to download the PDF version of their articles for personal archiving and may share them freely with colleagues without any restriction or embargo.
5) GISTU Journal of Islamic Studies is committed to the dissemination of academic knowledge and the promotion of open access. In this regard, the journal adopts open-standard archiving solutions to ensure digital preservation and long-term accessibility.
