Author Guidelines

The International Journal of Agriculture, Environment and Food Sciences is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal that publishes original research in the fields of agriculture, environmental sciences, and food sciences. Authors must adhere to the following guidelines to ensure a transparent, ethical, and efficient submission and publication process.

Scope of submissions
The journal accepts original Research Articles that contribute significantly to scientific advancement in the journal’s scope.

Please note:
Review Articles are accepted only in Special Issues, subject to invitation or editorial approval. The journal publishes a Special Issue titled Emerging Trends and Technologies in Agriculture, Environment and Food Sciences every December, which prioritizes the inclusion of high-quality Review Articles. In regular issues, only Research Articles are published.

Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.

Language and formatting requirements
- Language: All manuscripts must be written in fluent, grammatically correct English.
- File format: Submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) using the official template.
- Font: Times New Roman, 10 pt, single-spaced.
- Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides.
- Units: Use SI units. Report temperatures in °C.
- Title: Max 15 words, sentence case, bold, 14 pt, centered.
- Authors: Full names with superscript numerals for affiliations. Corresponding author marked with an asterisk (*).
- Affiliations: Format as Department, Faculty, University, City, Country.

Types of articles
- Research Articles: Must include Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Compliance with Ethical Standards, and References.
- Review Articles: Published only in Special Issues. Must provide comprehensive, critical syntheses of current knowledge in a specialized topic.

Manuscript structure
Manuscripts should be organized in the following order:
- Title
- Author names and affiliations
- Abstract (max 300 words, no citations or formulas)
- Keywords (3–6, comma-separated)
- Introduction
- Materials and Methods
- Results and Discussion
- Conclusion
- Compliance with Ethical Standards
- References (APA 7th Edition)

Tables and figures
- Number tables and figures consecutively (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1).
- Table titles appear above; figure legends appear below.
- Figures must be high-resolution (300 DPI), in JPG, PNG, or TIFF format.
- Avoid duplicating data between text, tables, and figures.

Compliance with ethical standards
All manuscripts must include a section titled Compliance with ethical standards, addressing the following items:
Peer-review
- This article was externally peer-reviewed under the journal’s double-blind review policy.
Conflict of interest
- The authors declare no conflict of interest. (Disclose if any exists.)
Author contributions
- Contributions should follow the CRediT taxonomy (e.g., Conceptualization: Name; Methodology: Name; Writing – original draft: Name).
Ethics committee approval
- Include the name of the ethics committee and approval number for studies involving humans or animals. (If not applicable, state: “Not applicable.”)
Funding
- State the source(s) of financial support. (If not applicable: “No funding was received for this study.”)
Consent for publication
- Indicate whether written informed consent was obtained. (If not applicable, state: “Not applicable.”)
Data availability
- Specify whether data are publicly available or can be provided upon request. (If not applicable, state: “Not applicable.”)
Acknowledgments (optional)
- Mention any institutional, technical, or financial support or presentation history of the manuscript.

Manuscript submission
Manuscripts must be submitted through the online system:

Required submission files:
- Manuscript file (.doc/.docx)
- Author Declaration (Copyright) Form (signed by all authors)
- Ethics Statement and Approval Form
- Suggested Reviewers Form (optional but recommended)

All files must be uploaded as separate documents and clearly named during the online submission process.
Submissions missing required files will not proceed to peer review.

Peer review policy
- All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers.
- The typical evaluation period is 4 to 8 weeks, including editorial screening and external review. The journal is committed to a timely, rigorous, and transparent peer review process in line with international publishing standards.
- Final decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewer feedback and scientific merit.

Copyright and licensing
- Authors retain full copyright of their published work.
- Upon acceptance, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish the article under the terms of the
Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0)

This license permits third parties to share, use, and adapt the work for non-commercial purposes, provided that:
- Appropriate credit is given,
- A link to the license is provided,
- Any changes are indicated.

Editorial processing charges (EPC)
An Editorial Processing Charge (EPC) is required upon submission and must be paid before the peer review process can begin.

This fee covers the technical and administrative costs associated with manuscript handling, including editorial screening, formatting checks, and system support.
- All taxes are included.
- The fee is non-refundable, regardless of editorial outcome.
- The EPC must be paid by the corresponding author or their institution.

Please note: The journal charges no submission fee and no Article Processing Charge (APC).
Only an EPC is collected to initiate the peer review process.
The EPC is mandatory for all authors.
