KATMAN: Journal of Archaeological Science is an open-access, peer-reviewed international academic journal that seeks to make scholarly contributions to the fields of Prehistory, Protohistory, Greek and Roman periods, Late Antiquity, Cultural Heritage Studies, Documentation of Cultural Assets through Generative Artificial Intelligence, Anthropology, and Translations of Archaeological Texts. The journal’s abbreviation in both Turkish and English is KATMAN.

The journal accepts the following types of submissions: research articles, review papers, book reviews, excavation reports, and thematic special issues. Published annually at the end of December, KATMAN fully adheres to academic ethical principles and publication standards through a double-blind peer review process. All submitted articles are evaluated based on originality, scientific contribution, methodological accuracy, and ethical compliance. Under its open-access policy, all published content is freely accessible. The journal does not charge article processing fees or submission fees.
