Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism Policy

Journal of Values in Health Sciences implements a strict plagiarism policy to uphold academic integrity and support the publication of original research. The originality of submitted manuscripts is carefully examined at every stage of the publication process.

Plagiarism Detection and Similarity Check:

All manuscripts submitted to the journal are thoroughly reviewed for similarity using reliable plagiarism detection software such as iThenticate and Turnitin under the supervision of the editorial board.
The similarity rate, excluding the reference section, must not exceed 20%. Manuscripts exceeding this threshold are returned to the authors without entering the peer review process.
Citations from a single source are only acceptable up to a maximum of 3%.
Even if the overall similarity rate is within acceptable limits, manuscripts containing dense block quotations in any section will be returned to the author.
Editors monitor the similarity rates both before and after peer review to ensure compliance throughout the publication process.

Authors’ Responsibilities:

Authors are responsible for the originality of the work they submit and are required to properly and accurately cite all sources used.
Editors may request similarity reports generated by plagiarism detection software from the authors when necessary.

Sanctions:

Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism are removed from the publication process.
In cases of repeated plagiarism violations, the concerned authors may be temporarily suspended from submitting to the journal.
In cases of severe misconduct, the journal reserves the right to inform the authors’ affiliated institutions and relevant academic authorities.
Journal of Values in Health Sciences strictly enforces this policy to ensure ethical standards and academic reliability in all published works.
