Semen ginko konsantrasyonu infertil olgular fertil olgulara gore olduk¢a dtisiik dtizeyde ve anlamh idi. Serum semen ginko dtizeyleri arasinda infertil olgularda korelasyon mevcut degildi.

54 infertile and 19 fertile men’s blood and semen specimens were examined to understand the importance and effect of blood zinc, copper and magnesium and seminal zinc and acid phosphatase in male infertility. In the infertile group, blood zinc concentration was lower than the fertile subjects. In the infertile cases, seminal zinc concentration was quitely lower and significant than the fertile group. There was no correlation between the blood and semen zinc levels in the infertile patients. The blood copper level was higher in the infertile patients than the fertile subjects and than difference was significant. There was no correlation between the blood magnesium concentration and sperm count and motility. There was a negative correlation bet- ween zinc concentration both in blood and semen and blood copper
level in the infertile patients. Similarly, we found a positive relationship between the blood copper concentration and seminal acid phosphatase. Seminal acid phosphatase level was higher in the infertil patients than fertile subjects and that result was significant. There was a negative relationship between seminal acid phosphatase and sperm count and motility. While blood and semen zinc levels were significantly lower in the infertile males with chronic prostatitis, seminal acid phosphatase concentration was normal. We found that blood copper concentration was higher in patients with prostatitis than the patients with nonprostatitis,
but there was no significant result in magnesium concentration in these groups.
