Ethics Committee Approval

Dear Researchers

In line with TR Index decisions, articles proposed for publication as of 2020 must obtain ethics committee approval and submit this documented. Accordingly, authors who will propose articles to our journal for publication are required to submit the ethics committee approval form for studies requiring ethics committee approval and indicate it in the text.

Studies requiring Ethics Committee Approval are presented below.

When uploading an article to the Journal of Current Tourism Research, you must upload your Ethics Committee Certificate along with your article file. If your study is not included in the study group that requires ethics committee approval, you must sign the declaration form stating this situation and indicate the relevant situation in your article text.


Research Requiring Ethics Committee Approval

- All kinds of research conducted with qualitative or quantitative approaches that require data collection from participants using survey, interview, focus group, observation, experiment, interview techniques,
- Use of humans and animals (including materials/data) for experimental or other scientific purposes,
- Clinical trials in humans,
- Research on animals,
- Retrospective studies in accordance with the law on the protection of personal data.

Also;
Indication of compliance with copyright regulations for the intellectual and artistic works used
Obtaining and indicating permission from the owners for the use of scales, questionnaires, photographs belonging to others,


Note: No retrospective ethics committee permission is required for articles that used research data before 2020, were produced from master's/doctoral studies (must be specified in the article), applied for publication to the journal in the previous year, accepted but not yet published. Please indicate in the declaration form that your study meets this condition.

Studies Requiring Ethics Committee Approval and Accepted for Publication

In studies that require ethics committee permission, information about the permission (name of the committee, date and number) should be included in the method section and also on the first/last page of the article.

Dergimize gönderilen çalışmalar geliş sırasına ve konusuna göre öncelikle editör değerlendirmesinden geçmekte, editör görüşü doğrultusunda hakem değerlendirmesine karar verilmektedir. Değerlendirme süreci tamamlanan çalışmalar da aynı şekilde değerlendirmenin tamamlanma tarihlerine, türlerine ve kapsamlarına göre yayıma kabul edilmektedir. Bu yüzden GTAD'a gönderilen çalışmaların herhangi bir sayıda yayıma kabul edileceğinin planlanarak önerilmemesi gerektiğini tekrar hatırlatmak isteriz.
