Journal of Turkology Research is an international refereed journal founded in 1995 by Prof. Dr. Nâzım H. Polat in order to carry the history, values and problems of the Turkish world and Turkish cultural life to the international arena within the framework of scientific criteria and to contribute to the academy by sharing the studies carried out to develop these values with the public. It is published biannual (June-December).

Irresponsibility regarding authorship and copyright, plagiarism, fabrication, duplication, salamization, disrespect for human-animal ethics, biased selection of sources and biased publication based on self-interest are the most common forms of violating academic ethics. The authors of scientific articles in TÜBAR are deemed to have accepted that they have obtained all the information in their studies within the framework of ethical behavior and academic rules, and that they have fully cited the source of any statements, information and findings that do not belong to them. Any legal responsibility that may arise when the contrary of this accepted situation occurs belongs to the author.
In social experiments and surveys to be conducted with people, the consent of the people is essential. However, when necessary, the researcher must obtain ethical declaration approval from the institution / organizations to which the researcher is affiliated and submit it with the study. If artificial intelligence technologies are used in the study, it should be reported with its nature. A total similarity rate of more than 20% in a manuscript is the first reason for not evaluating the manuscript. It is the author's responsibility to disclose potential conflicts of interest and whether a manuscript has received financial support.
Our journal recommends that its editors, board members, referees and authors follow the criteria of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) in all their academic activities.
In the Editorial Board meeting of Journal of Turkology Research dated 25.04.2025, it was decided to stop charging participation fees from authors. After this date, no fee will be charged for research articles submitted.
